Nature & Community Focused

Adab is a local project with a worldly vision. Built in partnership with the Sidemen native community, our project empowers the locals and inspires our guests. We believe in a better world where travel and exploration coexists in harmony with local culture and nature, benefiting indigenous people and preserving ecosystems.

Community Inspired

Sidemen community is an integral part of the project. By employing local artisans, craftsmen, and service staff, we not only foster economic growth within Sidemen but also ensure that our guests experience an authentic and enriching encounter with Balinese culture. We support Balinese producers and farmers. From seasonal vegetables & fruit, to coconut body products, to fresh catch of the day, we will strive to delivery only local products to our guests, while providing fair wages to the community.

Build Responsibly

The resort architecture is designed to preserve and celebrate the flora & fauna on the location and take into account key natural elements - the sun path, the  wind, the rain, the landscape as well as seasonality, to be energy and water efficient. This reduces the need to use the air conditioning, minimise water and lower electricity consumption.

We support local community & farmers

Hotel operations are empowered and run by local community, and our food is sourced and produced in Bali, partnering with local farmers to bring the best of local flavours to our guests. Our team is working on educational, vocational & recycling programs for underprivileged youths to kick-off after the start of our operations in 2025.

We celebrate local Artisans & Craftsmen

Our bed linen, fabrics, and uniforms are sourced from local artisans. We engage the community to run workshops and interactive classes, and also craft soap, candles and unique sarongs for our guests to take home.

03

We believe in sharing & circularity

Rooms and Community spirited spaces are crafted with locally sourced materials, and designed to reduce energy consumption by allowing natural airflow, while inspiring people to connect. The hotel operations is currently working on avoiding anything single use, instead opting for biodegradable, compostable, refillable options.
